Tagger Media, a platform for influencer marketing and social intelligence, has been acquired by Sprout Social, a provider of social media management software.

With a comprehensive platform that enables brands to implement an all-encompassing social strategy at scale, this acquisition will further solidify Sprout’s position as the market leader in social media software.

Justyn Howard, CEO and co-founder of Sprout Social, stated: “Customers are increasingly demanding to break the workflow silos between core social media strategies as influencer marketing has changed the way brands build awareness and connection.

Tagger Media was purchased by Sprout Social for USD 140 million in cash. Cash from Sprout Social’s balance sheet and funds from its recently established revolving credit facility were used to finance the acquisition.
