ShapesXR, a startup that offers a platform for the creation and collaboration of spatial apps, announced today that it has raised USD 8.6 million in new funding for the expansion of its platform to new gadgets like the Apple Vision Pro, Pico, and Magic Leap.
Formerly known as Shapes Corp., the company was established in 2016 and provides a web-based platform that enables users to quickly create fully immersive scenes and fill them with essential artifacts.
By enabling both technical and nontechnical users to create 3D designs, prototype immersive apps like virtual reality and augmented reality games, and work together on actual projects, the company says it will democratize the creation of 3D content and spatial design.
According to the company, ShapesXR enables individuals and businesses to quickly create fully immersive content using 3D environments, objects, mock-ups, and experience labs.
