Postscript has introduced Onsite Opt-In, a patent-pending function that enables merchants to collect phone numbers in a compliant manner onsite, eliminating the need for visitors to access the messaging app on their phone in order to confirm.

The company said in a statement, “Shoppers most likely see popups when interacting with a brand, making them one of the most popular methods for acquiring new subscribers. Brands can enhance SMS opt-in rates on popups to boost list growth and retain customers onsite to optimize order conversion and preserve campaign attribution by utilizing Onsite Opt-in.”

The brand claims that comparison to other list growth strategies, beta results have demonstrated up to 3X subscriber list growth, outperforming double opt-in and two-touch technologies.
